About Us Walking at Ockwells Park PAWS is a petsitting service that is committed to providing affordable quality pet care services. With over 30 years pet care experience we do our utmost to protect both animals in our care and environment we live in. You won't see us walking more than 4 dogs together as we prefer to give a more personal service to your pets where we feel they are safer and happier. At PAWS petsitting is not a job, its our passion and we feel blessed to be lucky enough to do what we really love. We love giving your pets the attention they deserve and we tailor our services to work around your schedule that fits your pets exact needs and we will give you feedback and regular updates whenever you need it. You really couldn't leave your pets in better hands than ours! Hi! I'm Tara Walker owner of PAWS, Pet Carer, Dog Walker, Puppy Care Expert and all-round Mummy to all pets! I attended Newlands Girls' School, then I worked in London and Perth, Australia as a PA for around 10 years. After that I worked in childcare for a few years whilst completing my BSc (HONS) Psych (Open) degree. However I have always wanted to work with animals so I did some voluntary work for the RSPCA. I have a Diploma in Dog Psychology and been a Rescue Dog Fosterer. I have helped dogs with difficult backgrounds & behaviour problems. I love a challenge so in 2004 I set up PAWS. Chantelle & 8 week old Meagan All my life we have had dogs and cats in the family. My Grandmother bred chihuahua's and spaniels. and I would help with the puppies from age 5! My Mum owned border collies and german shepherds and I would walk them from a young age so I basically grew up with pups and dogs. We've always had cats in the family aswell. I really can't remember a time when I didn't have a furry friend by my side. I owned my first dog a border collie when I was just 7 years old, she was literally my shadow and we went everywhere together we were completely inseparable. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats in the family. People say that I have a natural bond with animals and their pets usually take to me from the very first visit unless they're extra shy. My daughter, Chantelle, has also grown up with dogs and cats, rabbits, hamsters, chickens and fish and shares this natural bond with animals. My other hobbies apart from spending time with pets include skating, cycling, reading and listening to music. PAWS trusty helper Linda Wood who joined us in July 2010 walks lots of dogs in the Holyport area and feeds cats all over Maidenhead. Linda has a westie called Holly and a young cat called Kit. Linda has cared for and been around animals all her life and is an absolute pet magnet even the most aloof pets soon totally adore her!! Since joining us Linda has gained alot of experience with larger breeds of dogs aswell including a Newfoundland who also loves her to pieces. The first day he met Linda he gave her the biggest bear hug! Friends for life!! Our cat clients call Linda ''catwoman'' as she truly is the biggest cat lover you could hope to meet. Linda is taking in a new cat at the end of August, a rescue tortoiseshell called Jenny Wren who at just 11 months has already had 2 litters. Jenny will truly have landed on her PAWS with Linda as her new Mummy!! Well that's a bit about us... we hope we get to know you and your lovely pets soon!
